His Song Poem by Meg H...

His Song

Rating: 5.0

Wrapped in your arms
The night doesn't seem so cold
And the stars that fall around us
Appear to be sold
With your sweet breath on my skin
And my heart in your hands
I get tangled in you,
You're a long, slow dance.
You're my untold secret
You're my soul and my heart
You're my painted picture
My priceless art
You're the whisper in my ear.
You're the windswept sand
The manic storm
And the unkempt plan.
You're the sunset reflection
And the moonlit sky
You're the kiss on my cheek
And the tears in my eyes
You're my wished-upon star
And my fallen rain
You're the morning sunlight,
To me you're everything.
You're dinner and candles,
A single white rose.
The songs we sing
That nobody knows
You're the first snowflake
On a cold, winter day
The somber fire
In the words that I say
You're the goodnight kisses,
The reasons we make,
The promises we keep
And the chances we take.
You're the world that spins
The time we've lost,
The love we've found,
And the infinite cost
I want your hand to hold
At the end of it all,
My fairytale ending,
My unbreakable wall.

Very beautifully expressed sentiments of pure, undiluted love.
