His Words Poem by Shay Mitchell

His Words

I sit and wait here,
my heart and fears flowing.
Waiting for the call,
feeling like forever has past.
He promised to call,
he said he wouldn't forget.
'I Love You' constantly slips from his lips,
it feels like my heart was robbed.
Of all that it could give.
Men steal and abandon,
showing no love or remorse,
for the woman they've hurt.
Love isn't understood,
only sex and rebounds.
i'm sick of men taking,
What I didn't willingly give.
I'm sick of loving the wrong kind,
so this will be the last time.
