Hola Poem by David DeSantis

Hola

Rating: 5.0

you there
smiles in your eyes
from pages
I once knew

between us
stories in my mind
a song i should've sung

waiting
days upon the nights
where feelings
keep me home

and memories
gazing at the sun
reflections i must own

and im older now
grown some how

how i wish
i could've had that dance
a step in your direction
when i was young

had i thought
you were my romance
the feeling of you pressed
against my hold

there she was
only 23 years old
diamonds on her neck
and arms of gold

sunlight smile
love in your eyes
suited,
a queen i once held.
