Hold Me Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Hold Me

Abalone poise the pink Goddess
Revel deep in the id of fire
Her golden silk fire
I am the waiting summer

Psyche and Symbol
Yin and Yang
Ragged lines of the impressionist
Paintings of lush bells

When you become the sea
When time is a turtle dove
When night seems to be a womb
There you are as abstract as water

Can you see me in the moonlight?
Soon the stars will sift the wheat
Everyday is a vast sky
Everyday you are here I rejoice

Purple gardens as soft as a smile
When you laugh the rivers flow
Rivers of wine and delight
Lady of spring your flowers bloom

Awakened by roses of Keats
Those that have a short time shine
Today I am thine with all my love
Hold me forever like a Grecian Urn

You know who you are
Quills of the open heart
Lovers in the pages of poetry
Hold me before the crying sun
