Hold My Hand Poem by Teddy Wirunda

Hold My Hand

This trembling
This wobbling
Panting for something
More than something
Eats me up.

Hold my hand
And let's stand,
Let's stop this wind
From destroying the world.
Help change their mind
And make a people sound,
Hold my hand
And let's stand.

Adultery is a norm
Corrupt our kingdom
Deceit rules us
No one can pass
I need your hand
If you don't mind
Don't sit or stand
Don't go behind.

We steal from the dead
When will this end?
We've defiled our land
By acts unsaid,
Our kind we wed
I feel so sad
So hold my hand
And let's stand.

Our time will end
The fad will fade
So let's mend
Before the end
Take my hand
Hold it and let's stand
To defend
The right.
