Hold On Poem by Phyllis Strong

Hold On

If you’ve ever needed help,
And wondered why nobody gave a hand.
You’ll look back and thank them;
Because God had a plan.

Even now, if you’re at your darkest moment,
And can’t see your way through.
Hold your head up, just be patient;
God will see you through.

God will speak to your storm,
And say “peace be still.”
He can speak to your body,
And say “be thou healed.”

If there’s not a friend,
You can tell your secrets to.
Know that God’s a great listener;
He has the answer for you.

If you’ve prayed,
Cried and prayed,
Fasted and prayed some more.
Know that God has the key, to open every door.

If the dreams that you’ve had,
Has been shattered by bad news.
Start over and rebuild;
Don’t let hard times, give you the blues.
