Hold That Tear Poem by Radhika Pandhare

Hold That Tear

A wailing mother stands with her arms so bare,
A child she lost to the Universe, was in her tender care.
Tears trickle down her cheeks, as the memories unfold,
So many answers still untold.
She blames the Universe and pleads to give back her life,
With trembling hands, she slashes through the air with a knife.
What went wrong?
What went amiss?
Why didn’t she get a chance to experience that bliss?
What went wrong?
What went amiss?
Why could she no more plant that kiss?
She questioned and questioned, but the silent Universe only tested her patience.
She paused to think for a moment brief,
There was more to life than just her grief.
Wiping tears on the way,
She fought the Universe her own silent way.
And yes it was no mean feat,
But eventually, it she did beat.
With a secret promise to her little one sweet,
In heaven our souls shall meet! !
