Holding Poem by victoria martinez

Holding

Rating: 5.0

This is mine
Don’t flush it
Don’t try and reject
Close sentiment
Clothed fragment
Working like a black man
To live like a white one
But, you’re Mexican?
Oh what silly values;
We hold.
Sold her body for some coke
Sold her soul to behold
Lost all her kids
And their love
Oh what horrid values
We hold.
Listen to advice
Make my life…
Emotions with what I hold
I let go of them
I lose what’s inside
I become your empty flesh
