Holding On Poem by Jeanette Palomo

Holding On

Though life may beat me I will not fall
I look in the mirror I don't see what you see
I see the opposite
I been told I need help
The strong words shout
You are Worthless
You don't deserve any of their love
I hate believing what isn't true
I don't want to be told Im going nowhere in life
Sometimes I questioned my existence
Sometimes you find yourself lost in the crowd
Doing all you can but never making them proud
You do nothing but hurt me
You tell me im not enough
Its that really what you mean
But you don't know how much it hurts to hear what you say to me
And what you call me
My boyfriend is the one who makes me feel important
I finally learned what life is about hanging on when your heart had enough and giving more when you wanna give up
