Hollywood Poem by Lauren Owens

Hollywood

Things are so different here,
Who you are is significant here,
Old truths dissapear,
On everyface theres the same story,
Make me beautiful,
For my soul i want glory,

In Hollywood,
Every sunset is a toast to an overdose,
In Hollywood,
Every sunrise is a french kiss to the pills that love you most,
And everytime you get so close,
Beacuse nothing matters,
Only gossip knows,

Drink up your worth in fame,
Payed for by your dirty name,
Because who you are is significant here,
but whats inside is worthless dear,
Ands its so hard being young today,
Beacuse my soul seems so very little to pay,
To your ads, for pink cocaine and french champaign,

In Hollywood,
Every sunset is a toast to an overdose,
In Hollywood,
Every sunrise is a french kiss to the pills that love you most,
And everytime you get so close,
Because nothing matters,
Only gossip knows.
