Home Alone Poem by Steve Spider

Home Alone

I garden
I knit
I listen to nature
I sit
When planning my day
I maybe cooking or writing
I'm just finding ways to fill up the hours
Applying for jobs or arranging bright flowers.

I pray
Each day
I’ll finally escape
Find a way
To break out from these walls
Then make my own rules
I’ll travel the world
And meet other people
See snow covered mountains
Visit waterfall and fountains.

One spark
One break
That's all it would take
No more worries or fears
No more lies
No more tears
I’ll live a life full of passion
Not be consumed by a new trend
Or some modern fashion.

You see
This is me
Waiting to be set free
Just sitting, watching
For the turning of that key.
