What power this man has - to put a world of feeling into so few words. Provided always that the reader has an imagination of equal size or bigger. Coupled of course with an experience so that Larkin's wonderfuly simple observations can be put into context.

A bitter sweet experience leaving one more fulfilled as a human being.
