Home Twn

Going home

The news of your end arrived today
Somewhere up on the beach you lay
The timeless sand and consequence
I googled in, peering down,
The nearby river and wind blew around
Mahabharata streets, empty bones
Of a now desolate shanty town
Artemis and Thesius will bear you home
Your Illiad your Odyssey to permanently roam
Your human qualities your Beatitudes are sown
Go home forever at last in the memories
Of them now alone you loved waiting by your throne.
