Homeward Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Homeward

Where are the pretty stars tonight?
The way is dark across the Bay.
We face a dismal, daunting plight
Travelling to our home of yesterday.
But we will arrive, with love fresh and new
Your true love for me, my true love for you.
So please stay at my side, be my faithful guide
As we travel through the night
On our old familiar ride.
