the only honesty i can offer you
inside my empty room
is the bluntness of silence

ask me why i have no answer
you will see me lowering my head
nodding like a woman losing her grip
on the power of her words

i kneel before you and worship you
i undress myself like a cursed goddess of air
i become light to your touch
i become a mist
a fog, a cloud, a mirage, a rainbow
a stream of thoughts
that you can never hold.
