Honesty Poem by Toshie Nohara

Honesty

Honesty is the best policy
That's what we learn in school

Dishonesty isn't a word that everyone
likes to hear or use in daily life
Yet, it is rampant everywhere in the world

Dishonest people refuse to admit their poor
character
Mostly out of pride, status
shame or
fame

No matter how dishonest they maybe
They stubbornly stick to their way of thinking
or behaving
So, when things go wrong in their lives
No song in their hearts
Feelings torn apart
Won't show their helplessness
Preferring to face series of worthlessness
Not realizing dishonesty is a stumbling block to their
relationship with others
Unaware friendship is threatened
Their problems are doubled
More and more troubles
Dishonesty prevents their confession of
unmet expectations
Opting for frustrations
Robbing their hearts and soul from
loving others who are more whole

Dishonest people are like tatters
When disappointment complicates matters in
their lives

Dishonest people have good news
Their lives can be transformed when they
change their character from dishonesty to
Honesty
'Cos Honesty is the best policy.
