Hope Poem by Shruti Goswami

Hope

Rating: 5.0

The world is slowly breaking apart,
Broken to pieces, scattered,
Is my little heart,
I stoop down low to collect them,
Bit by bit, piece by piece.
You told me mom,
Love conquers all,
And now it's all but love;
Love now has a brand new name,
For money conquers all.
Greed and hate now wraps the world,
Where once men dreamt of peace,
An eerie silence now prevails,
Can someone set things free?

Shruti ji I could see regrets in your lines for the present miss happening. Yet yr mama is right love conquers all. For a short while money seems to rule yet love cannot be earned through money!
