Hope Comes Again In The Early Evening Poem by Shalom Freedman

Hope Comes Again In The Early Evening

HOPE COMES AGAIN IN THE EARLY EVENING

Hope comes again in the early evening -
It has no single reason -
Despair is gone for now
It will return again.

But now the light through the trees says,
‘There is still a sky in the world,
And somehow dreams can be real
And life (even if only for a little while)
happy again.’

Brilliant. It paints the picture in my mind of doomsday, the end of the world. The whole world implodes then starts all over again with new bacteria and life. The world is fresh and new all in the matter of a few seconds. Everything is growing in silence, and the sun is just about to begin setting. A lovely piece of writing. Thankyou
