Hopes In Love



A pious girl of outstanding beauty
And whom to love is surely o’ safety
no day would come that she won’t make me laugh
Even if all my day had been aweful and rough
A pious girl with a heart so gentle
That I only wish in my hands she’d settle
And lay on my chest for ever and ever
As if I wert the sea and she my river.
