Hot Chocolate Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Hot Chocolate

Rating: 4.5

As a child I loved
Hot chocolate
Since then I had
Almost forgot

Growing into a
savvy adult
Coffee, wine, and
Beer was the result

The selections came with
stimulation and intoxication
But now, I have rediscovered
a wonderful inspiration

In the cold of winter…
Hot chocolate is my brew
It is satisfyingly sweet
and warms me through

Reminding me of what
I misplaced...
A childhood pleasure
of that delicious taste

Delicious ~ both the poem and what it brings to mind. (Have you tried it with a peppermint stick twizzle?)
