Hotel Poem by Randy Resh

Hotel

HOTEL

I want a hotel
in the middle
dingy distant
defiant Nowhere

sandy blue-line streets
beach resort replete

amusement park fray cohorts
where?

-No, No NO

No,
nothing routine nor
remotely slightly special

I only want a hotel
expunging purgatory
for why as
what the hell

derelict cabin
in the middle of
god forsaken nowhere
any time of year

Alone to atone
shear dingy drawn shades
magnificent muted radio

cacophony ambient
symphonic shushing waves
