How Poem by Claude H Oliver II

How

Do I feel the one who makes me feel
Joy or pain, powerful or weak,
Hurt or healed, loved or betrayed,
Trusted or deceived,
Or is it that simple

Must I know my feel to feel another
Is my defeat another's victory
Or my victory another's defeat
Do I truly see me in thee
Or you see thee in me
Does me and thee become we

What do I fear in me, therefore others
What wall so thick
Keeps me from me and therefore thee
What mirrored tendencies push ‘we' apart

Answers flee these questions for a lifetime
Questions so simple
But answers defiantly hide in plain sight
Spoken yet refusing to be heard.
