How Can I Make You See? Poem by Jeremy Patnou

How Can I Make You See?

Ive never heard the coo of a dove
but your voice I love.
Metaphors and flattery,
used again and again,
in my dreamers hope
to move you to see
that I want you to be with me.

How deep is the truth
of these words I speak
Has all this romanticism?
I would love you just the same.
With pen and paper I write,
The words of ink
Spilled from my mind through
the pen in my hand,
Words of my heart.

A bold and truthful poem of love. Certainly a creative way to win the heart of the one you love. I often wonder though, how often does it work? GW62
