“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways”
I love thee when, into your eyes I gaze
And watch them flicker, blue and green
Dancing like moonbeams, I try to glean
From the way they look deep into mine
The way that they sparkle, the way they shine
What are you thinking? What do you feel?
Hidden thoughts that your eyes reveal
It looks and feels like love I see
So I love it when you stare at me
Exploring my soul and revealing yours
Exposing the love your true heart stores
Telling me all that I need to know
About how you feel, your love on show
Your eyes can’t lie, your eyes reveal
The love you hold, you can’t conceal
So when you pause and stare at me
It is love that I feel and it’s love that I see
