How Dreams The Night Poem by Marck Riggins

How Dreams The Night

Forefront of clouds’ clique
Entertained in exquisite reverie
Float upon this night’s aspiration
That contrary to hope, ever
Bought consideration,
Is a sad affair—
Stars sing
Light Song.

The language code that she abode, clandestine
Without question
Inclined my heart’s poetic art to find perfection
By resurrection

Swan majestic, ruffles feathers
In placid pools adorned
With nocturne reflection
That steels inclination
To tearful thought-
Beauty exceeds
Melancholy.

Her words engraved, have now enslaved affection
In her direction
She calls my name in love’s fire flame, note’s inflection
Souled dissection

How dreams arise
Meet sweet end
Her willing, thrilling
Heart, high ascends

How dreams the night
There lies my love
Reclined entwined
Moonlight above

O’er mountain crags
Rivers, valleys
There cries my love
There lies my love

Oceans afield rolled expanse
Rivers bridged through forest
My love abides her nocturne realm
Noon’s sun, her moonlight chorus

I abide her night and she, my day
Smiles transcend miles
She schools me in her loving ways
To reap ecstatic smiles
