How funny love is
You let a stranger into your life
You let them know you
And you let them hurt you
Cos’ you let yourself love and be loved
And then suddenly one day
You realize you gotta let go
And pretend life with him
Never was
You have to throw away that part of you
And leave that person behind
And live
Although you‘ll never forget

Why do we love so carelessly, so foolishly?
And give our fragile hearts to strangers to break
Ever, ever willingly?
