How God Cherished Him, Poem by Liza Sud

How God Cherished Him,

How God cherished him,
As His own eyes’ apple,
As if Himself was supple
To his oper’s caprice,

Which were His own dictates,
Or Devil is their writer?
Who in all those souls plays –
Who are you, the great Wagner?
