How Many Fools Poem by Michael Ernst

How Many Fools

One didn't listen
One didn't talk

One wouldn't argue
One wouldn't stop

One was always busy
One couldn't get anything done

One was always laughing
One was never having fun

One was always near
One was never there

One was always worried
One never seemed to care

One held her close
One pushed her away

One said he loved her
One didn't say

One was always watching
One just couldn't see

One is sitting here wondering
How many fools can One man be!
