How To Remember Poem by Leonard Dabydeen

How To Remember

I dip my cup made of clay
into the rivulet of the Lethe
meandering in carefree travel
and drink of the clear, balmy waters
as I watch the rolling pebbles
distant themselves secretly
in the solitude of Hades
my mind begins to fade
as my memory weakens
at the thought of you
and my slumbering eyes
quietly go to sleep
forgetting night or day
as the sound of Hypnos
whispers in my ears
and I begin to forget
how to remember.

wow! ! ! wow! ! ! cave of Hypnos......solitude of Hades and sparkling waters of Lethe...Its as though I am seeing an ancient Greek painting...just two days when I was searching for mythological river...I came across Lethe...the concept fascinated me so much...hence 'Untitled'....I loved the ending...'I begin to forget how to forget'...its as though there is a hypnotist out there....lulling u to sleep.....fantastic composition! ! !
