Hue & Cry Poem by Wild Bill Balding

Hue & Cry

Prussian, powder, ultramarine,
cerulean and idanthrene,
manganese, monestial,
turquoise, navy, duck egg, royal,
cyan, cobalt, indigo,
azure, sapphire, sky, phthalo -
no call from you, no card, no news,
and, honey, have I got the blues...

Ah, yes... blue. An extraordinary hue, an overwhelming feeling. I find midnight blue particularly painful myself and the incredible blue skies of late October a bit too blue, if you know what I mean. This is sweet on its surface, Bill, and heavy underneath. I'll stop shortly of feeling badly though - for I believe you've found the true-blue of green, yes? :) Christine (who adores this)

Probably the cutest, bluest way of emoting that I've ever read. '...and, honey, have I got the blues' I'll remember this poem for a long time. :) Thanks
