Hula Spirit Poem by Manonton Dalan

Hula Spirit

Palm leaves waving bay side
am gazing at sea so so wide
sailing ships color horizon
even rainbow has has its own
white caps; clouds on waves
fierce wind that's what makes

sounds of drums beat so near
it shook ground like thunder
coconut leaves adorn maidens
dance with gusto shaking urns
i step pound my feet on ground
going with beat that i found
