To understand others is hard,
Which is why so many don't try.
Any openings are all barred,
Near impossible to get by.

See there isn't much difference,
Though we all have our uniqueness.
Between us there is much distance,
Humanities greatest weakness.

But if you choose to work at it,
To care for your fellow human.
If you have patience and commit,
Use your knowledge and acumen.

To ask yourselves why some believe,
Some think, Some behave like they do.
If you change the way you perceive,
Maybe you'll start to understand too.
