Humble Pie Poem by Laura Cummings

Humble Pie

Rating: 5.0

Take a deep breath
Accept that you’re wrong.

Not the end of the world
Scrape yourself off the floor and start again.

A little bit of faith from those who believe in you
Despite your negativity, spite and lack of sensitivity.

Have I met the real you yet?
Will I ever?

Eat some humble pie
Stop glossing over your failures.

Acknowledge your defeats
Do something about them.

It’s not the end of the world
You can still scrape yourself off the floor and start again.

This is very good Laura - at least a 7 out of 10. Now how about a poem called shepherd's pie?
