Humility: The Golden Key Poem by Dr. Madan Gandhi

Humility: The Golden Key

to unravel the divine mystery
that passeth understanding

Once into the process of discovery
never slacken your guards
or be complacent

In the face of Infinite Light of Truth
forget not you are but infinitesmal speck
in the eternity of universes

For each non-living or sentient being or atom
there are infinite living beings
striving to resolve the riddle of this mysterious universe

What place in this entire a man/woman occupies
what’s the purpose of his/her life
what individual good in each cut-throat competition?

Immaterial and unavailing
all talk of qualitative transformation
the flashlight stops on cosmetic modifications

Impossible to express in words
even if it were possible to know
what truth is

So overwhelming this thrill
caught in web of semantic confusion
born of infinite ways of expression
bewildered, so helpless what words to choose.
