Hurricane Matthew In Savannah Poem by Walterrean Salley

Hurricane Matthew In Savannah

We spent the weekend
With an unwanted guest.
And now, we‘re a town
In convalescence.
The devastating effects
Of hurricane Matthew
Has left savannah
In a convalescent mode.
Destruction.
Down trees. Flooding.
Structural damage.
Power failure and loss.
But by God's grace,
We are healing.
