Hurt Poem by Josh Burnett

Hurt

Just leave me face down in the dirt.
I don't need your help you'll only make it worse.
I don't need that smile when I'm feeling hurt.

I don't want to talk about it
Because the words are hating.
The lover's opinion comes second.
You might as well do what feels best.
Don't worry about the beat in my chest.
It will come to a rest.

Just leave me face down in the dirt.
I don't need your help you'll only make it worse.
I don't need that smile when I'm feeling hurt.

Take away all of my pleasure.
I don't want to be with my angel.
I guess I'm not your one and only.
I see how much I really mean.
You've stabbed me in the heart.
Go ahead finish tearing me apart.

Just leave me face down in the dirt.
I don't need your help you'll only make it worse.
I don't need that smile when I'm feeling hurt.
