I Poem by Chidiebube onye Okohia

I

Some say I have a crush
But I'm crushed on my Lord
With his love so strong
Which keeps me young.

This hitch started when I was fifteen,
Then I was never mainstream,
Faith was dicing,
Wit appalling,
I had to turn to poetry,
Life still gave uncertainty,
So I switched to rap
And I had my first clap,
Fusing rap with physics,
My delivery was eclectic,
I knew I was the future:
The rap justifier
Of only one sister
But ev'ryone's tutor
And spitting hendiadys
Into Apollyon's abyss.

This is the ultimate truth
Doubt or believe
Reason would up'n me cleave
And I shall reap my fruit.
