I Am A Poet, And I Stand Tall Poem by Elizabeth Tews

I Am A Poet, And I Stand Tall

Rating: 4.5

I am a poet,
and I stand tall.
None of my friends are,
they are too young to understand...
But that doesnt change anything,
for I am poet,
and I stand tall.
They dont apprehend a poets life like mine,
For they are too young in the mind,
maybe not wise enough?
But that doesnt change anything,
for I am a poet and I stand tall.
I am not beautiful,
I am not extremely smart,
I am not phenomenal at any sport,
BUT I am a poet,
and I stand tall.

A beautiful creation well articulated and nicely brought forth with conviction. An insightful poem written from the heart.

To be a poet ignore everything around you.Just compose what you feel in your soul.Follow the whispers of your invisible being.

Great poem! Perhaps you Are more than you know. It is good to just be yourself, and as a poet you can do just that. You are your own unique voice, a spark of the divine that has never been and will never be again. Keep being a poet and keep standing tall!

Well done Elazabeth. Reminds me of Maya Angelou's 'Still I Rise'. I give it a 10.
