I Am A Princess In Waiting Poem by Rik Bertrand

I Am A Princess In Waiting

I have suffered the pain of loss of love,
And my sorrow is registered with God above
I have been blessed with a vision of futures Plight
And I know now, that my tears have cleared my sight.

I have been honored with the gift beauty, inside and out,
My heart leaks with passion and wants to shout.
I am favored with the touch that comforts all men,
Yet I have not found the one that will truly let me in.

I have seen the vision of my life to be, my life so free,
I have seen my Prince, My love, my true eternity.
He is on the path that leads to his beloved destiny,
His righteousness, his everlasting love with me.

The lord has splashed my beauty over the sea of passing clouds,
And the rain shall fall from the sky in seamless shrouds.
He has rained my loveliness across all the open lands,
Bless you my lord, for taking me into your strong hands.

I have only to wait and be patient, for my life's dream,
I must be strong in this time, be cautious to the extreme.
Although my heart is heavy with my waiting fate
I so look forward to my Prince and our precious first date.

When he lays his eyes upon me, and sees my life's story,
I only hope that he will be struck by all heavens glory.
I pray that he feels the passion of the great white dove,
And falls into the quivering realm of everlasting love.

REB (MARCH 2012) because Mary's Prince is coming soon
