I Am A Selfish Bugger Poem by Francis Duggan

I Am A Selfish Bugger

Rating: 5.0

I am a selfish bugger why otherwise pretend
I live for myself and I am my own friend
To others I do find it hard to relate
The lifestyle I lead for myself I create.

You who do read this and decide not to like me
You dislike in yourself what you do not wish to see
You dislike yourself for the person you are
For imperfection we never do have to look far.

I am a selfish bugger that I won't deny
And why I am this way do not ask me why
And though my own praises I never do sing
I live for self only and do my own thing.

I am a selfish bugger as selfish as can be
But having said that would you not agree
That people like me are to be found everywhere
There are millions if not billions in the big World out there.
