I Am A Youth In America Poem by Sara Lane

I Am A Youth In America

I am youth of America. Young and fresh, hip and cool.
sometimes spoiled but never fooled.

I am sometimes typical and loud and rude.
But I am expressing myself so my opinion sometimes can be rude.

I am a diamond in the ruff, I shine but my dirt can turn me grime.

I may not think in a certain way that you all might think, but my brain is always working and to God I keep my thoughts linked.

I am bold, not giving a care to who and who doesn't like me, because I am a youth of America and that's just how I be.
