I Am Alone

I am alone in this place
Staring up at your pitiful face
I hate it here
You give me so much fear

I came to you
And look what you do
I am alone again
As always I am alone

I hate my fears
I am tired of all my tears
I hate it here
I hate this fear

I wanted you to stay
And this is what i have to say
I love you
I hate you
You left me alone again
I am tired of being alone

Why do you hate me?
Is this an answer I'll never see?
You hurt me, you made me bleed
Do you know what your love is doing to me?

I am alone
I am always alone

Where are you?

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
