I Am An Avid Dreamer Poem by Bruce Gashirabake

I Am An Avid Dreamer

I am an avid dreamer.
I try to palliate the fact,
With hopes jaunting out uncontrollably,
Seamless ideas hovering over me,
Seems like a cry out from a vacuum.

Talk, talk, talk but don't denature,
Numerous times have I shaken ‘dreaming' off,
But doesn't it come back, stronger?
I call, fall and it finally dawns on me!
I am an avid dreamer.

Adumbrating the contents in my head, I can't
But abating the excitement I can,
Keep me off my reverie and kill me,
As bound to north is south, so am I,
And forever I will cherish, assiduously, this dream.

Finally, I embark on this resolution,
Bleaching this character I can't,
But feeding it, I am good at.
Always beaming through the sun's rays
Is a message of "I am an avid dreamer"
