I Am Futureless Wherever I Am, Wherever I Go

I got accustomed to the long day,
Acclimatized to its winters and summers,
I wish I owned the day and its contents,
The selfish land owners owned its contents,
Women and the spoiled boss brats,
All of them got their hearts hardened,
Lost mercy to own the key to Bob Marley's redemption song,
Trampled on my desires and wishes,

I strain to see the bright future ahead,
The statutes are stacked so high that my reach is futureless,
The edifice around the camp outstrips the Chinese wall of fame,
This is only to render me futureless,
The water-full earth became a source to alienate,
A weapon to render me and my people leaderless,

Our kids became the carcass in motion,
Fitted with accordion speakers to play hoarse music to the horses,
The culprit being the school bus that emits excessive CO2 emissions,
Polluting the air, obstructing their view for one to realise the vision,
Beyond, captivity, degradation and hopelessness,

All the land is white man owned, including
Old inventions, new inventions and those to come,
We are made to believe,
My territory is in the air, where I have to wage
An incessant war with the force of gravity,
My abode on any part of the earth is temporary,
My origin does not exist here on earth, except by decree of God,

The sling on my neck is very tied,
Wherever I go, the sling is my sell out,
I cannot lift my neck high enough to see the future,
For the sling is tied to a bolder under the sea,
Rendering me vulnerable to the hazards of the sea,

My dwelling is a white man's gymnasium,
The meek boxer versus the vicious pugilist,
I ducked the pass laws; ducked the laws against trespassing on white man's land,
Ducked job reservation laws,
Alas! I ducked against the full force of the punch of the land laws of 1913,
I fell into the abyss only to be followed by the rescue rope that turned into a python and swallowed me up,
