I am Kind

I don't mean the 'weak' kind
The way most men are-
The kind most women gravitate towards,
I am not that kind,
I mean the kind that comes from
enormous strength; an inner power,
so strong that, every act
No matter what, is evidence
Of that power,
I am that kind,
The kind that all women resent.

Thats why they try to cut us down,
Because our knowledge of ourselves,
And their kind is very right,
So true-
That it exposes the lies by which they,
Every scheming one of them,
Live by.

It takes a true woman to understand,
That the purest form of love,
is of a man who denies himself of her,
Of a man who inspires worship,
Beause he has no need for any woman,

Because he has himself,
A self who is better; more beautiful,
more powerful; more perfect,
More virile, domineering,
Stronger... More masculine
More irresistible,
A self that is up in the air.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
