I Am Ok As I Am Poem by Tim Holmes Jr

It wasn't suppose to go down like this,
This event was made for someone that is better than me.
I don't get these opportunities that come once in a life time,
But there it was right in front of me,
what am I to do, never in my wildest imagination

Shaking my head thinking that I am dreaming.
Now thinking about it, the moment was just right
The mood was set, no turning back no regrets
I must say it's the best feeling I've had in quite some time
Because this came out of the blue, I wasn't expecting it

Grateful and appreciative is what I've become
Because anything that is given and wasn't earned, is a blessing
What happened to me is hard to put in words but I must try.
You seen me unfiltered and fully exposed with no secrets
I was more than just accepted, I felt loved

You took my hang ups and my insecurities in your hand,
And said you, that I am wonderfully made and walk not ashamed.
Again I felt loved
There I was nervous with my actions and words were escaping me
All you could do is show your comfort level and that was high.


Again I felt loved
At this point I am floored, but with happiness
It took all I had to hold back tears of joy
Because the burden that I choose to carry is completely unwarranted
I can walk with my head held high and embrace my own flaws

You what I am pretty good just the way I am
Something that took me way to long to learn.
I thank you for showing me what can happen
When a Soul is taken and sees itself in a positive light
One can feel loved.
