I Am Overwhelmed By My Own Voice Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Am Overwhelmed By My Own Voice

I AM OVERWHELMED BY MY OWN VOICE

I am overwhelmed by my own inner voice
The silences of others
Their poetry escapes me.

I hear myself
And can hear
No one else.
Mine is the only Poetry

How Sad and Great is Life
So many voices,
So much silence.
