I Am Smiling Here Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

I Am Smiling Here

Butterflies dress up the dogwood tree

that has lost its fancy bloom

Crows play hide and seek,

Singing out of tune.

Bushy tail squirrels chase up and down,

All making sure my smile is repeated,

As they go playfully, from the dogwood

To the ground, I want you to know,

How royally I am being treated
