I Am Sunshine Poem by Ronald Chapman

I Am Sunshine

I am warm and bright,
I wonder who is looking up at me?
I hear the wind blowing,
I see trees growing,
I want to warm your heart,
I am warm and bright!

I pretend to roar,
I feel like a star all alone in the heavens,
I touch the ground,
I worry people take me for granted,
I cry when people can't see me,
I am warm and bright!

I understand the earth spins like a top,
I say, "Use my warmth and light."
I dream humankind will use my warmth and light,
I try to warm the planet,
I hope humankind will use my warmth and light
I am warm and bright!
