I Am The Wallpaper Poem by Peter Edwards

I Am The Wallpaper

I Am the Wallpaper,
Just there,
Seen but unnoticed,
Like a table,
More like an invader,
Garden weed,
Not really wanted,
At the moment,
You are too busy,
Looking in,
To see the wallpaper,
Dry peeling,
Trapped in-between,
This room,
And the world out there,
Lips move,
But no one will hear,
My voice,
I am the wallpaper,
Background,
To your overloaded life.
